Calcium Score Screening

The “Calcium Scoring” CT Heart scan is a fast and simple way to tell if there is calcification (hardening) of the arteries of the heart. The noninvasive scan detects and quantifies calcified plaque in the coronary arteries. It is an accurate predictor of the likelihood of a future heart attack. You should consider a calcium score scan if you are between ages 40-70 and at increased risk for heart disease but do not have symptoms.

Coronary CTA

The Coronary CTA is a 3D Heart Scan that looks for narrowing of the coronary arteries. In addition to identifying narrowing of the arteries, the scan can show soft and calcified plaques even when no narrowing is present. This is important because patients who show no narrowing, but reveal plaque are likely to require medication.
