Dr. Sahar Soleimani Joins Fairfax Radiology Centers

Fairfax, VA – September 5, 2024 – Fairfax Radiology Centers is delighted to have Dr. Sahar Soleimani join our team. With her extensive experience and specialized knowledge in radiology, Dr. Soleimani will uphold our dedication to delivering state-of-the-art medical care.

Dr. Soleimani completed her medical education at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where she earned her MD in 2018. Moreover, she received her PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Johns Hopkins University where her thesis focused on novel MRI approaches for the quantitative assessment of coronary arteries and ventricular function. Her extensive training includes an internship in Internal Medicine at Mercy Medical Center, Baltimore, followed by a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident from 2022 to 2023. Dr. Soleimani recently completed a fellowship in Body MRI at Johns Hopkins Hospital, further solidifying her expertise in advanced imaging techniques.

Throughout her career, Dr. Soleimani has been affiliated with several renowned institutions, including the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore VA Medical Center, and Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards, such as the Stanley S. Siegelman, MD Resident Award and the Resident Teacher of the Year Award from Johns Hopkins Radiology Residency. Additionally, she has been a Gold Star Reviewer for the Journal of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance and has been honored with multiple scholarships and fellowships, including the Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans and the Siebel Scholarship.

Dr. Soleimani’s research contributions are equally impressive, with a focus on radiomics, deep learning in pancreatic lesion detection, and cardiac MRI. She has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and has been an invited moderator at international scientific sessions.

Dr. Soleimani is certified by the Certification Board of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography and the American Board of Radiology. She holds medical licenses in Maryland and Virginia.
