Fairfax, VA – February 18, 2025 – Dr. James McEachern joins Fairfax Radiology with a wealth of experience and expertise in interventional neuroradiology. FRC is thrilled to have Dr. McEachern on our team of esteemed radiologists.
Dr. McEachern joins us from St. Boniface Hospital and Shared Health Services Manitoba, where he has served as a Neuroradiologist since 2016. He has been instrumental in advancing the field and has held numerous roles during his career: Clinical Lecturer at the University of Manitoba's Department of Radiology, served as the first Provincial Interventional Radiology Modality Lead and as Director at both Manitoba X-Ray Clinic Ltd. and Radiology Consultants of Winnipeg.
Dr. McEachern's impressive educational background includes fellowships in Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology and Diagnostic Neuroradiology from the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University in St. Louis. He completed his residency in Radiology and earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Saskatchewan.
In addition to his clinical and academic roles, Dr. McEachern has been actively involved in various administrative and teaching capacities, including serving as the Radiology Residency Program Director at the University of Manitoba and participating in numerous committees focused on stroke management and radiology excellence.
Dr. McEachern's research contributions are notable, with numerous publications and presentations at prestigious conferences. His work has earned him several awards, including the RSNA Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research Award and the Best Scientific Exhibit Poster Award at the Canadian Association of Radiologists Meeting. His extensive expertise in neuroradiology and his dedication to advancing medical knowledge will be invaluable to our patients and our team.
